This research explores how audiences discover, choose, and consume content on Video on Demand (VOD) platforms. Unlike existing studies that mainly focus on the content itself, this research aims to bridge a gap by examining how audiences access, discover, and consume content across different devices and contexts. The study pays special attention to the influence of algorithm-curated content and audiences' interactions with recommender systems and personalization features. This includes examining their level of knowledge and understanding (media and data literacy), their trust and usage patterns . The analysis also delves into audience perceptions of content diversity and the significance of local content on streaming services. In essence, the study not only explores what content audiences are consuming but also how they navigate and engage with VOD platforms in different contexts and through various devices.
